| Description of the problem | While driving, the car's display turned red with warning message "brake defective stop vehicle"- brakes became stiff. Car was in limp mode. I took vehicle to the mercedes benz dealer in fresno. They diagnosed the problem as an "sbc brake controller failure". They told me that these had been troublesome for years, they have since been discontinued because of unreliablity of the brakes, and mercedes would not cover repair cost. |
